Mechanical Testing
We offer comprehensive mechanical testing capabilities for the characterization of biomaterials and tissues. Our advanced equipment and expertise allow for a wide range of analyses, providing crucial data for research, development, and quality control.
Material Characterization
Our mechanical characterization services provide critical insights into the properties of tissues and biomaterials. We conduct a range of standard mechanical tests, such as tension, compression, friction, shear, and indentation, adhering to industry best practices. These tests enable you to characterize materials, compare different product formulations, and assess the performance of engineered tissues relative to native tissue, ultimately aiding in research, development, and quality control.

Biomechanical Simulation
We’ve developed unique platforms to mimic in vivo environments, offering custom biomechanical stimulation services. Our specialized equipment includes a sliding device for knee motion simulation (ideal for cartilage wear and fatigue testing), a tooth brushing simulator for dental product evaluation, and a unique eyelid closure model for contact lens studies. Our in-house mechanical tester can also be placed in an incubator for applications requiring mechanical stimulation within an in vivo environment.
Custom Test Development
Collaborate with our expert team to develop custom mechanical tests that address your specific research challenges. Leveraging our deep expertise in mechanical testing, our team of researchers is adept at designing and implementing specialized testing protocols for a wide range of applications. Our in-house machine shop and R&D team allow us to design and fabricate custom fixtures and accessories. We believe in a personalized approach, working closely with you to understand your goals and design tailored testing solutions for your tissues, biomaterials, or devices.
